About the conference
Three and a half decades of continuity, now led by the Panon Institute.
OTO began 35 years ago at what was then the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Osijek, together with engineers from the Maintenance Society Osijek. From that foundation grew a regional, interdisciplinary conference that has, from the start, connected the economy of the Slavonia-Baranja region with the academic community in electrical engineering, agriculture and civil engineering.
After the Maintenance Society ceased operating, FERIT took over the organization and, with support from partner institutions of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University, raised the conference to international level in 2017 and 2018 — 56 papers were reviewed by scientists from five countries.
Today, as the maintenance field expands from industrial production into municipal infrastructure, the conference is organized by the think tank Panon — Institute for Strategic Studies Osijek, with support from FERIT and the Faculty of Civil Engineering Osijek.
